We seek to understand and exploit the interactions between beneficial and harmful micro-organisms and crop pests, and their host crops, to improve agricultural sustainability and resilience whilst reducing chemical inputs. We integrate experimental (lab-to-field) and in silico studies to identify and exploit novel signalling molecules, micro-organisms and crop genetics to support next-generation pest, pathogen and weed management strategies and crop improvement. We coordinate the design and delivery of bespoke technologies for compound identification, use of novel intervention targets and scaling for new product development.
